Tomatin Five Virtues Earth is the Earth edition of a series inspired by the natural elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Contemporary Scottish art by Eva Ullrich decorates the labels and packaging.
The whisky is a vatting of 50% lightly peated refill hogsheads, 25% sherry hogsheads and 25% first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. The bottling was limited to 6000 bottles worldwide.
The nose brings almond croissant, toasted vanilla pod and a touch of heather honey. The palate has layers of smoke and malt, followed by a splash of blackberry sweetness. The finish is roasted coffee beans and salted chocolate.
