This is a 12 year old Tomatin single malt, the first of four releases in The French Collection. It was distilled in April 2008, moved to Monbazillac casks in July 2017 and bottled in March 2021 at 46% ABV. Only 6,000 bottles were made worldwide. It first matured in traditional Scottish oak before the Monbazillac finish. It is unfiltered and natural colour. The nose combines dark maple syrup, intense espresso and cinnamon-baked apples. The palate is sweet grain with milk chocolate and beeswax, ahead of subtle spice and nuts, and the finish is rich with walnut and maple syrup.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
