Tomatin – Portuguese Collection 2006 15 Year Old Madeira Cask (70cl, 46%)

This is a 15 year old Tomatin single malt from the Portuguese Collection, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled on 8th September 2006 and filled into traditional oak casks. It was later moved into Madeira casks, where it was finished for 7 years before bottling. Honey and lemon lead the nose, with butterscotch and stewed apples on the palate. The finish is treacly and fruity.
