This is a ten-year-old Speyside single malt from Tomintoul, bottled at 40%. It matured entirely in American ex-bourbon casks. The distillery was founded in 1964 in the Cairngorms National Park and is known as The Gentle Dram.
The nose is delicate and floral, with acacia honey, vanilla, toasted wholemeal bread and mild wood spice. The palate brings crème caramel, toasted almonds, lemon zest and grassy notes. The finish carries buttery oak and citrus, fading into gentle baking spices.
