Mackillop's Choice Single Cask Tomintoul 1989 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A single cask Tomintoul from 1989, bottled by Mackillop's Choice. It is a Speyside single malt, pale gold in colour. The nose opens with fruit, flowers, roasted nuts, toasted bread, malt and honey, then turns fruitier with papaya and tangerine. Later come pollen and nectar, with faint smoke and leather. On the palate it is caramelly and nutty, maltier than the nose suggests, with a little liquorice, resin and honey. The finish is medium long, resting on malt and caramel.
