This is a 12 year old Tomintoul Glenlivet single malt from the 1960s, sold in the bottle shape that has earned it the nickname 'old perfume bottle'. It is described as a classic Speyside single malt, and the tasting notes lean towards orchard fruit and gentle sweetness. The nose is light and fruity, with apples, pears, a little honey, soft floral aromas and vanilla. On the palate it is smooth and balanced, with malt, toffee and gentle spice, then oak and a slight nuttiness. The finish is of medium length, sweet and slightly dry, leaving malt and oak behind.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
