This is a 12-year-old Tomintoul single malt, distilled in 2012. It was first matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then finished in Oloroso sherry butts from Andalucía, Spain.
The sherry finish adds depth and richness. Tasting descriptions mention dried fruit, gentle spice and soft sweetness.
It has won Gold medals at the International Spirits Challenge in 2022 and 2023, and at the Scotch Whisky Masters in 2022.
