Tomintoul 15 Year Old is a Scotch single malt distilled in 2006, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured first in ex-bourbon American oak casks and was then finished in Port pipes sourced from Portugal.
The nose is creamy and sweet, with heather honey, soft nougat, vanilla fudge, toasted brioche and lemon zest. The palate is nutty and well rounded, with creme brulee, boiled sweets, mocha and amoretti biscuit. The finish is mellow and warming, with shortbread, cinnamon icing and brittle toffee.
