Tomintoul – 19 Year Old Cask 1 Port Pipe Matured

This is a 19 year old Speyside single malt from Tomintoul, drawn from cask 1. It spent its whole life in a single Port pipe. The spirit was distilled in August 2000 and bottled in January 2020. The cask gave the whisky red fruit notes and a warming oak character. The outturn was 753 bottles. The nose has red and black berries, toffee and hints of tobacco. On the palate, sweet Port mingles with malted barley, rich fruit and gentle oak spice. The finish is long, with spice, toffee and dark fruit.
