This Tomintoul is a 16 year old Speyside single malt, distilled on 8 May 2009. It spent most of its life in ex-bourbon American oak, then finished for three years in a white port cask. It is bottled at cask strength, 61% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, from a single cask yielding 310 bottles. The nose shows tinned peach, custard flan, poached pear, white chocolate and a hint of elderflower. The palate is creamy, with layers of custard, peach cake and amaretti biscuits mixed with caramelised plums, cocoa and sweet baking spice. The finish is warming, with grated almonds, baked cheesecake, makrut lime, gingerbread, Brazil nut and pear blossom.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
