This Tomintoul was distilled in 2010 and matured for 14 years in a single ex-sherry cask, number TM1024. Hidden Spirits, an independent Italian bottler, filled it in 2024 at 52.2% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill-filtration.
The nose pairs apple and pear with honey, a hint of vanilla, dried fruit and toasted nuts. On the palate it is textured and balanced, with caramel, honey, malt, sherry sweetness and creamy vanilla. The finish stays gently malty, with a little pepper adding spice to the soft structure.
