This Tomintoul is a single cask whisky distilled in 2001 and matured for 22 years in a refill American hogshead, then bottled in 2024 by Gordon & MacPhail. It comes from the Connoisseurs Choice series and was bottled at cask strength.
The nose combines bright citrus, crisp red apples and ripe mango. The palate has the soft texture of poached pears with butterscotch, moving to lemon and fine lime zest. The finish is long, with juicy tropical fruit.
