A small batch single malt from Tomintoul in Speyside, part of the distillery's Cask Finish Collection. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, with no added colouring.
Master distiller Robert Fleming chose whiskies first matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks. These were married and then finished in hand-picked Caribbean rum barrels.
The nose is fresh and bright, with raspberry blossom, coconut oil and violet sweets alongside Danish pastry with vanilla cream. The palate offers muscovado sugar, iced pastry, caramelised toffee, Lotus biscuits, nougat and coconut cream. The finish recalls butterscotch and chocolate eclairs, fading to warming baking spices.
