Tomintoul Peated is a Speyside single malt, distilled from peated barley and matured in ex-bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
Tomintoul is known as The Gentle Dram, and this expression is soft and fruity with a generous touch of peat smoke.
The nose mixes sweet aromas with campfire smoke, ginger biscuits, ground coffee and smoked meat. The palate has layers of hazelnut, smoked bacon, toffee, oats and liquorice, with a fresh note of lemon peel. The finish brings nuts, smoke, coffee and gentle spices.
