Tomintoul Seiridh is a single malt matured in American oak Bourbon casks, then finished in Oloroso sherry butts from Jerez in Andalucia, Spain. The name is Gaelic for sherry and is pronounced 'sheh-ree'. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers sultana, butterscotch and candied pecans. On the palate, dried figs and Christmas cake sit alongside touches of cedar spice. The finish is warm, nutty and long, with chocolate-covered raisins, dried fruit and a hint of liquorice fading into a woody linger.
