This is a Tomintoul single malt from Speyside, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is aged in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then married and finished in hand-selected Tawny Port barriques from Portugal.
The nose is full of berry fruits, bramble jam and dark chocolate, with nutmeg and cherry liqueur. On the palate come blackcurrants, blueberries and Black Forest gateau, held together by oak spices and mocha coffee. The finish brings maraschino cherries and thick-cut marmalade, fading to clove and cinnamon.
