Torabhaig – 2017 Legacy Series Inaugural Release (70cl)

Torabhaig 2017 is the inaugural release of the Legacy Series from Torabhaig, a distillery on the Isle of Skye. It is a heavily peated single malt, made from concerto malted barley with in-grain phenols of 55-60ppm, and matured in first-fill bourbon barrels. The whisky comes from a selected batch of 100 barrels, distilled and casked in early 2017, the year the first spirit ran from the stills in the distillery's converted 19th century farmstead. It is described as smoky and well balanced, with a maritime character.
