Torabhaig 2017 is The Inaugural Release in The Legacy Series, the first bottling from a distillery on the Isle of Skye. It is matured for a minimum of three years in first-fill bourbon casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and with natural colour.
The malt is made to a medium-heavy peat specification of 55 to 60ppm.
The nose is maritime, with coastal air, balanced peat smoke, vanilla and orchard fruits. The palate has clear smokiness, sweet citrus, peppery spice and gentle vanilla. The finish is medium to long, with sweet smoke, sea salt and a pleasant dryness.
