Torabhaig Allt Gleann (70cl, 46%)

This is Torabhaig Allt Gleann, the second release in the Legacy Series from Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The barley is peated, and the whisky was matured in first-fill and refill bourbon barrels. It is meant to show the distillery's idea of well-tempered peat, a smoke balanced by fruit, malt sweetness and a maritime note. The nose has maritime peat smoke, citrus zest, green apple and warm malt. The palate is smoky, with lemon oil, sweet malt, grilled fruit, pepper and charred oak. The finish is long and warming, with peat smoke and salted citrus.
