Allt Gleann is the second bottling in the Legacy Series from Torabhaig, which has been the second whisky distillery on the Isle of Skye since 2017. It is a single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The spirit was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2020 and 2021, after maturing in first-fill bourbon barrels. The outturn was 32,000 bottles.
The nose opens with pleasant smoke, then tropical fruit, vanilla, spice and spruce. The palate balances smoke and peat with mandarin, pear and spice. The finish is fairly short but soft, with a little campfire, white pepper and mint.
