Sound of Sleat is a peated single malt from Torabhaig, the distillery on Skye. It is made from Concerto and Laureate barley peated to at least 78PPM, fermented for 72 hours with Pinnacle MG yeast. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or colouring. The maturation uses bourbon casks of three kinds: first-fill, heavily toasted barrels, four-to-six-year-old refills from Kentucky, and casks used for over ten years in the distillery's own warehouses. The nose offers orange, apricot, popcorn, seaweed, pipe tobacco and honey. The palate has oak spice and bonfire smoke with a waxy note, honey, vanilla and sea salt. The finish is lingering, with honey and a maritime edge.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
