Torabhaig – The Distillers Series Niall's First Edition (70cl, 59.3%)

This is a cask strength single malt from Torabhaig, the distillery founded on the Isle of Skye in 2017 by Mossburn Distillers and the second licensed whisky distillery on the island. It is bottled at 59.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle and comes in a gift box. The whisky matured in first-fill bourbon casks and refill rum casks. It is lightly peated, non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose has stewed pineapple, guava and pear with vanilla, golden syrup, a little ash and sweet smoke. On the palate come juicy orange, malted biscuit and soft vanilla, with sea salt, coastal notes and spice. The finish is long and warming, with spice, peat smoke, vanilla and tropical sweetness.
