Allt Gleann is a single malt from Torabhaig, the second distillery on Skye, and the second bottling in its Legacy Series. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
Each batch is limited to a maximum of 30 casks, and the malt is peated to 77 ppm, which puts the Isle of Skye character firmly forward.
The nose brings island briskness with sea air, sea salt and heavy peat smoke. The palate is strong and maritime, with sea salt and seaweed, and the peat smoke has a drying, slightly ashy and salty effect. The finish is long, with drifts of dry, salty peat smoke.
