Torabhaig Cnoc na Moine is Chapter No. 3 of the Legacy Series from the Torabhaig distillery on the Isle of Skye. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, reduced from a cask strength of 63.2 to 63.6%, without chill filtration or added colouring.
The barley is heavily peated, at 78.44 ppm in the malt and 19.7 ppm in the finished whisky. It matures in American bourbon oak casks and is finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The nose has gentle peat smoke, orange peel, tangy fruit, vanilla and fresh oak. The palate has peat with barbecue notes, pepper, cedar and leather. The finish is long and smoky, balancing sherry and peat.
