Tullamore DEW Rouge is a 13-year-old Irish single malt bottled at 40% ABV. It is a limited release, matured in French Bordeaux wine casks.
The Bordeaux casks bring red fruit aromas to the Irish malt, and the fruitiness stays soft rather than sharp.
The nose offers red berries, vanilla, soft wood and light floral notes. On the palate it is rich and round, with strawberry, cherry, baked apple, soft spices and creamy vanilla. The finish is medium to long, fruity and elegant, with a lingering wine-cask character.
