Track 10: Brown Sugar is a limited blended Scotch from the Glasgow blending house Turntable, bottled at 52.5% in a 70cl bottle. It combines whiskies from five Scottish distilleries: 34% Loch Lomond, 22% Ledaig, 16% Strathclyde, 15% Tamdhu and 13% Tullibardine. The components came from sherry puncheon, first-fill bourbon barrel and virgin oak barrel casks.
Once blended, the whisky spent a further 20 months together in Moscatel barriques. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose is dark smoke and tobacco with peach, nectarine and sweet fruit. On the palate sooty smoke and an oily texture meet creamy peach and ripe nectarine, with cinnamon and brown sugar. The finish is long and smoky, leaving sweet stone fruit, dark smoke and lasting spice.
