Modern Love is Track 9 from Turntable, a limited-edition blended Scotch bottled at 52.5%. The blend is 31% Teaninich, 25% Girvan and 15% Invergordon from first-fill bourbon casks, with 17% Royal Brackla from a hogshead and 12% Blair Athol from a rye barrel. The Girvan and Invergordon grain whiskies, 40% of the blend, are all over 20 years old.
The married whiskies then spent more than 20 months together in Madeira Bual hogsheads, so the whole blend takes the wine finish. It adds sweetness while the fresh citrus stays. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Peach and orchard fruit meet vanilla and citrus on the nose, and the finish stays fresh and fruity.
