A 10 year old Irish single malt from Tyrconnell, matured in American oak casks and then finished in port casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle and has a light copper colour.
The Tyrconnell brand was revived by Cooley Distillery. It was previously a Watt family brand, named after a successful racehorse the family owned.
The nose is sweet and vinous, malty, with fruit, honey and oak. The palate is smooth, with rich fruit, honey and spice. The finish is a medium, lingering oak, giving way to nuts and marshmallow.
