Tyrconnell – Single Malt (70cl, 43%)

Tyrconnell Single Malt is an Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV and matured in bourbon casks. The name goes back to a surprise victory watched by A.A. Watt, a local gentleman distiller, who made the whiskey to commemorate the occasion. He meant to make it only once, yet it became Watt's most popular whiskey. Before Prohibition it was claimed to be the best-selling Irish whiskey. Today the brand is maintained by the Kilbeggan Distilling Company, and each bottle carries a commemorative label celebrating Tyrconnell's triumph.
