Uncharted Whisky Bunnahabhain (Stoisha) 7 Year Old First Fill Red Wine Barrique Whole Lotta Rosé (70cl, 55%)

This is a heavily peated seven-year-old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled by Uncharted Whisky as release UC056. It was distilled in 2019 and bottled in March 2026 at a cask strength of 55%, in an outturn of 644 bottles of 70cl. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky spent all seven years in first-fill red wine barriques, not a short finish. The casks add summer berries, richness and oak spice, and give the whisky its natural rosé tint, while peat, malt and salty coastal air stay clear. The nose has sweet peat, pavlova and icing sugar with sea air. The palate brings strong peat and malt with pavlova, summer berries and salt. The finish is long, with sweet oak, smoke, berries and meringue.
