Uncle Nearest 1856 is a Tennessee whiskey bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of barrels aged between eight and 14 years.
It follows the Lincoln County Process, with filtering through sugar maple charcoal, which gives the familiar flavour on the palate.
The nose brings alcohol vapour, fresh orange peel and floral notes. The palate is led by vanilla sweetness and is easy to drink. The finish carries less burn than the strength suggests, leaving a lingering tingle.
