Undisclosed Islay 18 Years Old 2007 Infrequent Flyers (70cl, 53.7%)

This is an Islay single malt, distilled in 2007 and matured for 18 years. It was bottled by Infrequent Flyers at 53.7% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is described as smoky and powerful, with ripe fruit, vanilla, spice and a measured influence from the wood. The nose offers soft smoke and peat, citrus, green apple, vanilla and light medicinal notes, with maritime hints and subtle spice behind. On the palate there is peat smoke, lemon, ripe fruit and vanilla, with soft pepper and a lightly salty edge. The finish is long, warm and smoky, with peat, citrus, pepper and a little salinity.
