Valdespino Malt Whisky (2020) (70cl, 43.5%)

Valdespino Malt Whisky is a Spanish blended malt, bottled in 2020 at 43.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in Palo Cortado and Oloroso sherry casks from Valdespino, and 2,000 bottles were released. Cask influence leads here, giving a dry, nutty whisky with a pronounced sherry character. The nose shows walnut, raisin, leather, orange peel and old sherry. The palate is dry and full, with nuts, cocoa, spices and oxidative sherry notes. The finish is medium to long, dry, winey and slightly bitter.
