Van Winkle's Family Reserve Rye is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey aged for 13 years, which makes it one of the older rye whiskeys on the market today.
The nose is soft, with chestnuts, spice, vanilla and fruit. On the palate there are cocoa, vanilla, spice and white pepper. The finish is long, warm and complex, with caramel and spice alongside dry oak.
