Very Olde St. Nick Harvest Rye is a cask strength rye whiskey from Preservation Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. It is bottled at 59.4% without dilution, in a 75cl bottle.
It brings together Kentucky pot distilled rye and rye barrels drawn from the brand's vintage stocks, and it has matured for at least seven summers. The casks are dumped in early fall, and each release is made up of just one to three barrels.
It pours a deep amber. The nose is vanilla and dried fruit with cinnamon and oak, the palate is spicy rye, caramel and warm baking spices over caramelized oak, and the finish is long, with oak and sweet spice.
