Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne (75cl, 12%)

Yellow Label is the signature Brut Champagne of Veuve Clicquot, a non-vintage blend led by Pinot Noir, with Chardonnay and a smaller share of Meunier. Grapes come from 50 to 60 crus, and up to 45% of the blend is reserve wine, which keeps the style consistent. The Champagne rests for at least 30 months on the lees in chalk cellars beneath Reims. It pours golden yellow with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose offers pear, apple, peach, citrus and vanilla. The palate is fresh and structured, with pear, lemon and mandarin over brioche, and the finish is crisp and balanced with a light toasty note.
