W.L. Weller 12 Year Old The Original Wheated Bourbon (70cl, 45%)

W.L. Weller 12 Year Old is a wheated bourbon from the Buffalo Trace distillery in Kentucky, bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle. In a wheated bourbon, wheat takes the place of rye as the secondary grain, which gives a softer, rounder and silkier profile. Twelve years of ageing add depth and balance while keeping the gentle sweetness of the Weller range. The nose is almond, toasted vanilla, creamy corn and light wood. The palate is round and soft, shaped by the wheat, lightly sweet and balanced. The finish is long, woody and very gentle, with oak and vanilla.
