Westward American Single Malt is an Oregon whiskey made from 100% malted barley, fermented with ale yeast and double distilled in copper pot stills. It is bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle.
The whiskey is matured in new charred American oak barrels. Westward Distillery in Portland makes American single malt exclusively.
The nose brings baked apple, caramel, toasted oak, light chocolate and warm baking spice. The palate is smooth and structured, with honeyed malt, toffee, roasted nuts, vanilla and gentle spice. The finish runs medium to long, warm and balanced, with oak and soft fruit sweetness.
