Westward – American Single Malt Stout Cask (70cl, 46%)

This is an American single malt from Westward Distillery in Oregon, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent a year finishing in casks seasoned with stout, bringing brewing culture and whisky together in one bottle. The nose is fresh malt, orange, fruit, cinnamon, chocolate and oak. On the palate it is balanced and complex, with cocoa, fruit, malt and spice. The finish is fairly long, with chocolate lingering longest.
