Westward – American Two Malts BridgePort Brewing Co. (75cl, 45%)

Westward American Two Malts BridgePort Brewing Co. is a whiskey in a 750ml bottle at 45% abv. It is the first collaboration Westward has undertaken, with its distillers turning a BridgePort beer recipe into one of their whiskeys. The team brewed alongside BridgePort using a clone of Kingpin Red Ale, a beer with a fairly high rye content. The project was led by Lead Distiller Miles Munroe, who worked at BridgePort Brewing after moving to Portland from brewing school. The notes begin with French roast, toffee and toasted almonds, followed by herbal rye, orange zest and biscuit, and close with pear, candied walnuts and peach rind.
