Westward – Stout Cask American Single Malt Whiskey (70cl, 45%)

This is an American single malt from Westward in Portland, Oregon, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. Once the whiskey has fully matured, it is finished for about one year in American oak casks that previously held stout. The casks come from a range of Oregon breweries, among them Bent Shovel, Breakside, Fort George and Migration. The finish adds a roasted chocolate note to the toasted character of Westward's single malt. The notes run to roasted grain, stone fruit, toasted pecan and milk chocolate, ending in a bold, dry finish.
