Westward Stout Cask Finish American Single Malt Whiskey (75cl)

Westward Stout Cask Finish is an American single malt from Westward Whiskey in Portland, Oregon, in a 75cl bottle. Westward makes its whiskey from 100% malted barley, using ale yeast and low-reflux copper pot stills. The whiskey spends one additional year in barrels seasoned with stout in Oregon breweries. The distillery has long traded its emptied barrels with brewing collaborators in the Pacific Northwest, and the barrels return to Westward for this final stage. It is typically described as having milk chocolate, roasted barley, hazelnut, oatmeal and vanilla, built over a base of caramel and fruit.
