Westward – Whiskey Single Malt Stout Cask (75cl, 45%)

Westward Single Malt Stout Cask is an American single malt bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle. It starts as Westward American Single Malt, which is fully matured and then finished for about a year in American oak casks that previously held stout. The stout came from a range of Oregon breweries, including Bent Shovel, Breakside, Culmination, Ex Novo, Fort George, Migration and Sky High. The finish adds a roasted chocolate note to the toasty character of the base malt. The tasting notes describe it as rich and robust, with roasted grain, stone fruit, toasted pecan and milk chocolate, ending bold and dry.
