Whisky Galore – Calvay Mist 5 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Whisky Galore – Calvay Mist 5 Year Old is a whisky from Whisky Galore. Aged 5 years, bottled at 40% ABV, 70cl. Whisky Galore – brilliant Ealing comedy of the 50s on the S.S. Politician running aground on the Outer Hebrides with more than 9000 cases of Scotch whisky on board plus thousands of banknotes. By the time the weather had calmed down for the authorities to get there, there were very few bottles and little currency left. All goes quiet for many years, until a company is set up 20 years ago to excavate the S. S. Politician wreck for more whisky. Money was raised, divers employed, thousands of tons of sand and steel plates moved to discover…..24 bottles! The recovered whisky was used in a number of bottles, including Atlantic Gold and Calvay Mist. It is blended to an authentic 1940s style. Please note minor wear to box
