Coven of the Red Veil is a 14 year old blended grain Scotch whisky from the Whisky of Voodoo series by Brave New Spirits, bottled at 58.3% in a 70cl bottle. It combines grain whisky from Cameronbridge and North British.
The whisky was aged in an ex-St Emilion Grand Cru wine cask and an ex-sherry barrel, and 803 bottles were produced.
The nose offers citrus zest, pomegranate and gooseberry, with thyme, thistle, honey and caramelised fruit. The palate brings a compote of ripe fruit, tomato skin, marmalade, shortbread and a hint of sweet corn. The finish is dry and medium in length, with the sweetness fading to a gentle saline note.
