Edradour 16 Year Old Equilibrium II is a single malt from the 2005 vintage, bottled for Whisky Sponge at 55% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a second fill sherry hogshead.
The nose is described as mossy, with chestnuts, tinned syrup, red berries, apricot jam and beef jerky, followed by milk chocolate, damp wood, brown sugar and leather. On the palate come tart cranberries and plums, alcoholic raspberries, dark chocolate and blackcurrant resin, with juicy oak and a barbecue note.
