Whisky Works Glaswegian is a 29-year-old single grain whisky from an unnamed Glasgow distillery that closed in 2010. Matured in American white oak barrels, it is offered at 54.2% ABV.
The nose combines buttery toffee, sweet red fruit and vanilla with a hint of wood polish and a rum-like character. Vanilla and banana follow on the palate with tingling spice, before a long, creamy finish of butterscotch and clotted cream.
