This is a 12 year old Linkwood single malt from Speyside, released by Brave New Spirits in its WhiskyHeroes series, in a 70cl bottle. 379 bottles were filled.
It was aged in an ex-Tennessee Bourbon cask, and the Back to the Roots name points to a straightforward, unfussy style of whisky.
The flavours are honey, vanilla and cinnamon, which led the bottler to call it a breakfast whisky.
