A 10 year old small batch rye whiskey in a 70cl bottle, made from 100% rye. It was distilled and first aged in Canada, then spent further years maturing at the WhistlePig farm in Vermont.
The nose opens with fresh peppermint and thyme, then sweet vanilla and marzipan, with butterscotch, raspberry jam and orange rind behind. On the palate, nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice are softened by muscovado sugar, oak and dark chocolate. The finish is medium in length, with rye spice, sweet malt and sour cherries.
