WhistlePig 18 Year Old Double Malt is the first release marking WhistlePig's first floor malting harvest in Vermont. It blends 18-year-old rye whiskey with a portion of malt whiskey made from the farm's own floor-malted grain.
The malted component gives a different grain character from straight rye alone, and it is where the Double Malt name comes from. When it was released, it was the oldest standard WhistlePig expression.
Each bottle was filled by hand on the farm in Shoreham, Vermont.
